CEFLA installation completed at Metres Direct Ltd. Linear line for spraying mouldings with automatic destacker

Delivered in the last week of December 2020, in readiness for the installation in January 2021, the Cefla Perfoma spraying line is now installed and fully operational at Metres Direct Ltd ,Studley, in Stratford on Avon.

Installation was completed by the UK resident Italian engineer and his team. The build up was completed in a few days and the start up of the line commenced shortly afterwards.

This Performa configuration features an entry and exit conveyor belt system, plus a system of rollers which feed workpieces through the spraying zone. It’s equipped with 8 spray guns subdivided into 2 product circuits and a dry filtration system. It has a working width of 300 mm and is perfect for applying water and solvent-based stains and paints.

On the out-feed of the line there’s an automatic unloader that automatically transfers the painted mouldings from the line on to multilevel trolleys without damaging the parts.

Once the trolleys are full they are quickly removed and the next empty trolley is in its place to keep the production running.

The line is foreseen to run at 15m/min applying water-based paint onto MDF skirting boards. “We’re very happy with the line now it’s up and running” said Joseph Phillips, Managing Director of Metres Direct Ltd.

Installation went well and we are now seeing the benefits of the automated spray line for our skirting Boards.
We’re spraying our parts much faster with a big improvement to the finish of the boards, not to mention our paint coverage is better controlled and we will ultimately save on paint usage, this is a big plus.
