CEFLA Igiotto – Robot finishing solution for ULTIMA Kitchens

ULTIMA Kitchens, based in Pontefract, are one of the largest and most prestigious manufacturers of Kitchens in the UK. ULTIMA required a wide range of finishing solutions from CEFLA Finishing to accommodate both high volume and smaller bespoke batch production of doors and panels. Phase One being a high volume production finishing line, was installed in 2018 and  fully integrated with a ROCTRE two arm reciprocating spray machine, automatic conveying systems, drying ovens and controlled via specialised CEFLA software, and capable of producing up to 3000 finished panels per shift. However, ULTIMA also required a second line for finishing of curved doors, which cannot be finished on the ROCTRE line, and so the perfect solution was to supply the IGIOTTO App twin robot spraying machine….

The IGIOTTO APP configuration supplied to ULTIMA, has two robot arms for high productivity, but is also available in a single arm configuration. The curved doors are passed through a CEFLA C Vision 3D scanner at the infeed of the machine, which allows for automatic programming of the spraying operation. The two arms can work independently, or in tandem, to give full flexibility to the production requirements, and can also be utilised as a reciprocating machine if required whilst maintaining high production levels at all times.

The IGIOTTO APP – Options and benefits:

  • Single or twin arm configuration of 6 axis anthropomorphic robots.
  • C Vision 3D scanner for precise acquisition of the positions, dimensions and forms of incoming workpieces, automatically generating spraying trajectories even on pieces of different shapes and sizes.
  • Dry or water based filtration
  • Paper belt conveyor or patented carbon belt recovery system
  • Total production flexibility
  • Synchronised operation on components with different shapes and sizes in the 2 robot version due to the Anticollision-3D function. This anti- collision system also allows the two robots to be used independently, working simultaneously on components with different shapes and sizes
